本作品は、アメリカ海軍戦艦
ネヴァダ（USS NEVADA, BB-36）を
太平洋戦争末期、沖縄戦参加時の艦容を基準に製作した
1/350スケール完成品模型です。
ネヴァダは1916年就役のネヴァダ級戦艦のネームシップであり、
真珠湾攻撃を生き残った数少ない戦艦として知られています。
その後近代化改装を受け、再び戦列に復帰。
ノルマンディー上陸作戦、硫黄島戦、沖縄戦などに参加し、
艦砲射撃支援および強力な対空火力で活躍しました。
本作品では、戦争末期の対空兵装が増強された
重厚なシルエットを意識して製作しています。
塗装はスケール感を重視し、塗膜を極力薄く抑えています。
モールドを潰さないことを最優先とし、
エッジやディテールが埋まらないよう塗装回数・希釈率を調整しています。
1/350スケールにおいて重要な
情報量と重量感のバランスを意識した仕上がりです。

This is a completed 1/350 scale model of the
U.S. Navy battleship USS Nevada (BB-36).
The model represents Nevada in her late WWII configuration
during the Okinawa campaign in 1945.
USS Nevada was the lead ship of the Nevada-class battleships,
commissioned in 1916 and famously known as one of the few battleships
that survived the attack on Pearl Harbor.
After extensive modernization, Nevada returned to combat service and
participated in major operations including
Normandy landings
Iwo Jima
Okinawa campaign.
This model focuses on the late-war appearance with
heavy anti-aircraft armament and the distinctive silhouette
of a modernized U.S. battleship.
Paint layers are kept extremely thin to preserve fine details,
and the overall finish emphasizes realistic scale appearance.
