白磁に青の石紋風の文様が施された、趣のある茶道具です。

茶巾筒は、茶道において濡れた茶巾を収めるための筒で、主に茶箱道具として使用されます。
四方形の端正な造形で、茶席でも品よくお使いいただける品です。

箱書きに「中瀬戸 茶巾筒」とあります。
作風から 江戸時代の瀬戸焼と思われます。

This is a Naka-Seto tea cloth container (Chakin-zutsu).

It is a tasteful tea utensil made of white porcelain decorated with a blue stone-pattern style design.
A chakin-zutsu is a container used in the Japanese tea ceremony to hold a damp chakin (linen cloth used to wipe the tea bowl). It is commonly included among utensils for a chabako (tea box) set.
